Did Elsa Pataky’s Shade Fuel the Breakup Drama Between Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth?

Let the drama begin between Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth, and Elsa Pataky, Elsa’s always shady sister-in-law. There are breakups and matching tattoos in this story that keep us riveted to our screens as we anticipate the next twist in the narrative.

The divorce was difficult, to put it mildly. Accusations of cheating and drug use were made. There were ballads about breakups and songs about women empowering themselves.

However, Liam went in the other direction, despite Cyrus being vocal about what went wrong in her marriage. The “Poker Face” actor announced his split from Cyrus on Instagram, saying, “I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets.”

This is a private matter. He has remained silent about whatever transpired between the two and has stuck to that.

Others have been able to speak up for him because of his silence. Chris Hemsworth, for instance, commended his younger brother Liam for his 2019 Men’s Health cover, attributing Liam’s physical appearance to “Australian living.”

Declaring, “We got him out of Malibu!” to news.com.au. In a similar vein, Elsa Pataky, Chris’ wife, was not shy about sharing her true feelings with Cyrus with fans.

Family is the most important thing, Elsa Pataky says. Pataky supported her brother-in-law during his divorce from Miley Cyrus, even though the two of them were once close and even got matching tattoos in 2016.

In November 2019, Pataky told Hola!, “[Liam is] a little bit down, but he is coping well after a relationship that you have dedicated 10 years to.” “He deserves the best because he is a strong boy. He deserves a lot better, in my opinion.”

Pataky may have been responding to Cyrus’s first jab at Hemsworth with his shady comment. A month prior, Cyrus made an appearance on Instagram Live, where she raved about Cody Simpson, her ex-boyfriend.

According to Elite Daily, she stated, “I always thought I had to be gay because I just thought, like, all guys were evil.” “However, there are decent people in the world who are just d**ks. Only one person that I have ever met is on this list.

Ouch! So her brief encounter with Simpson was sufficient to influence Cyrus’s decision, but a ten-year relationship wasn’t? It makes sense that Pataky would feel a little hurt in this situation.

Beyond Pataky, a large portion of Hemsworth’s family rushed to his aid following his separation from Cyrus. An insider told ET that the family’s first emotion upon hearing about the divorce was relief.

They stated that Liam had accepted the fact that it was time to move on. “The support from Liam’s family has been tremendous. They are happy that it is finished.”

Except for that one brief instance of shade, Elsa Pataky and Miley Cyrus have largely kept it cool. “I do not regret any [of my tattoos], they are symbols and I love having them and it reminds me of those moments,” Pataky said in an interview with Vogue in 2020 about how much she still values the wave tattoo she received with Cyrus at that time.

Cyrus’s marriage to Liam Hemsworth came under scrutiny once more in 2023 after the release of her eighth studio album, “Endless Summer Vacation.” Some album tracks, in the opinion of fans, implied Hemsworth’s adultery.

Lyrical content such as “Get the f**k out of my house” and “and you smell like perfume that I did not purchase” seem to be quite specific.

However, Pataky maintained her composure and managed to defend both her brother-in-law and his ex-wife when questioned about the cheating allegations. “We have discussed it a lot before,” she said to Hola! “I believe [Miley] can do what she wants, but if someone should talk, it should be Liam.”

Nevertheless, neither Pataky nor Cyrus talk much these days. “We’re not in contact because we live in different countries, and it’s difficult,” Pataky explained.
