Raegan Medgie, a skilled reporter and meteorologist, joined the FOX 5 News team in June 2017.

She is a devoted and renowned journalist with over 20 years of experience in the profession. 

She got her meteorology designation in December 2021 after finishing an arduous one-year online weather forecasting program at Penn State University’s Department of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science, demonstrating her dedication to furthering her knowledge.

Medgie formerly worked at The Weather Channel, where she helped develop AMHQ with Sam Champion and then became the Northeast Correspondent, covering storm-related events around the country.  

She has also worked as a general assignment reporter for WCBS/CBS2 New York and as an anchor for many television stations, including WNEP, WETM, and TV2 News.

Medgie’s media career began with Temple Update, Temple University’s student-run television station.

No, Raegan did not leave Fox News because she recently appeared on TV. Raegan Medgie, a FOX 5 NY reporter, documented Mayor Eric Adams’ travel around Latin America to discourage asylum seekers from coming to New York.

She most certainly included specifics about the mayor’s aim, which is to discourage possible asylum seekers by addressing the problems and reality they may experience upon arriving in New York, in her report. This included talking about immigration policy and living circumstances.

Medgie enrolled in Penn State’s Undergraduate Certificate in Weather Forecasting, where she learned from the Department of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences’ world-renowned staff.
