Taylor Swift’s Rep Hits Back at Marriage Rumors “Enough is Enough!”

Taylor Swift’s longtime publicist, Tree Paine, has taken to social media to set the record straight and shut down rumors surrounding the Grammy-winning artist’s past relationship with Joe Alwyn.

Paine’s response comes in the wake of claims suggesting that Swift and Alwyn had a marriage-like ceremony in 2020 or 2021.

In a bold move on X (formerly Twitter), Paine shared a screenshot of the rumor from the account Deuxmoi and unequivocally refuted the speculations.

“Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi,” Paine wrote. “There was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind. This is an insane thing to post. It’s time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these.”

Despite a momentary apology from Deuxmoi on their Instagram Story, the account appeared to remain skeptical. “Well, I make zero dollars from lying… can publicists say the same?” they responded to Paine’s tweet. Nevertheless, Paine’s firm denial seeks to put an end to the baseless claims circulating in the rumor mill.

Swift and Alwyn, whose relationship ended in April, have consistently faced engagement and marriage rumors throughout their time together.

While addressing these rumors, Swift has previously turned to her music as a form of expression and catharsis.

“Lavender Haze,” a song from Swift’s October 2022 album “Midnights,” is one interesting example.

Swift revealed that the song was inspired by the couple’s method of blocking out outside noise and preserving their privacy in the face of unending rumors in a video posted during the album’s release. “For six years, we’ve had to dodge weird rumors, tabloid stuff, and we just ignore it,” Swift shared.

Deuxmoi attempted a meager apology on Instagram, but their skepticism lingered. “I don’t profit from fibs… can the publicists say the same?” they quipped in response to Paine’s mic-drop moment. But Paine’s firm stance aims to put the lid on the wild speculations that have been haunting Swift’s relationship headlines.

Taylor Swift, the queen of breakup songs, has consistently used her music to address rumors and public criticism regarding her relationships.

She has been able to establish a deeper connection with her fans by writing songs that are a reflection of her personal experiences and feelings throughout her career.

Tree Paine’s latest response to Taylor Swift’s publicizing her personal life serves as a helpful reminder that not all reports of her life are true and that the best way to understand her journey is through Swift’s own words, particularly those found in her music.
