Sylvester Stallone’s Star-Struck Encounter and Ro Knight’s Rise to Fame

On Philadelphia’s first “Rocky Day,” nine-year-old Ro Knight from Alabama stunned Sylvester Stallone by stealing the show with a memorable recreation of a famous Rocky Balboa scene.

Ro gained an unexpected encounter with Stallone himself due to his passion for Rocky, which led to him becoming an overnight sensation with over 50,000 followers on social media.

Ro approached the famous Rocky statue during the occasion, giving the well-known speech with such conviction that Stallone occasionally could not help but join in.

Their exchange was captured on camera, which soon went viral and won Ro Stallone over as a “real-life Rocky.”

The video that the young fan posted in 2021, in which he demonstrated his adoration for the Rocky character by imitating the iconic speech while sporting the character’s signature trunks, was the source of Stallone’s admiration for Ro.

Ro saw this as more than just a fan moment; it was a chance to show off his skills and possibly land a part in one of Stallone’s upcoming projects.

His vision was to be included in the upcoming Creed film, something he candidly mentioned at the gathering.

Agents for Stallone were drawn to Ro’s captivating performances and sincere affection for Rocky, which resulted in an invitation to the Rocky Day festivities in Philadelphia.

Even though he was nervous, Ro’s captivating performance made an impression on the audience as well as Stallone.

The Stallone Connection

Ro’s fascination with Rocky started when he was young, spurred on by movie evenings with his father, which ignited his love of acting and professional wrestling.

Ro hopes to emulate Stallone by fusing passion and performance to make unforgettable moments. According to Ro, Stallone exudes a certain aura and is a radiant man.

Born on July 6, 1946, Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone is an American actor and filmmaker. In addition to being nominated for three Academy Awards and two BAFTA Awards, he has won various honors, including a Golden Globe Award.

Stallone is one of just two actors in history, the other being Harrison Ford, to have starred in a No. 1 box office picture for six consecutive decades.

Following the success of Rocky Balboa (2006) and Rambo (2008), Stallone embarked on a new film franchise, The Expendables (2010–present), in which he played the mercenary Barney Ross.

He starred in the box office hit Escape Plan in 2013 and made appearances in its follow-ups. He made a second appearance in Rocky in 2015 with Creed, in which the retired Rocky trained Donnie Creed, the son of former rival Apollo Creed.

After Stallone was nominated for the same role in the Academy Awards forty years earlier, the film earned him widespread acclaim, his first Golden Globe Award, and a third Academy Award nomination.

He has been a cast member of the Paramount+ crime series Tulsa King since 2022.
