Pearl Jam’s ‘Dark Matter’: The Secret Stories Behind Their Global Comeback

Pearl Jam has announced the world tour for “Dark Matter.” Weeks before they embark on a 35-date tour that will take them through nine countries, their new album, “Dark Matter,” will be released on April 19.

Pearl Jam released the details of their new album and the dates of their 35-date world tour, which begins in Vancouver, British Columbia, on May 4 and ends in Sydney, Australia, on November 21.

This comes just hours after the band released their brand-new single, “Dark Matter.” April 19 is when Dark Matter will be available.

Andrew Watt produced it, and in just three weeks, the recording took place at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, California.

On January 31, the album was made public during a listening party that the band attended at the Troubadour in Los Angeles.

This tour, which will take them to nine different countries, will be their longest run of shows in a single calendar year since 2009.

Ten Club members will have first access to tickets through a pre-sale. Before February 18 at midnight, the general public can purchase tickets by creating an account on Ticketmaster.

The band will display the entire cost of the ticket upfront because they are using all-in pricing. They will only be available on mobile devices and are non-transferable to reduce scalping.

Fans can sell their tickets through the Fan-to-Fan Face Value Ticket Exchange if they are unable to use them. The American rock group Pearl Jam was founded in Seattle, Washington, in 1990.

The original members of the band are still in place: Mike McCready on lead guitar, Eddie Vedder on guitar and lead vocals, Jeff Ament on bass, Stone Gossard on rhythm guitar, and Matt Cameron on drums, who joined the group in 1998.

Since 2002, the band has also toured and performed with keyboardist Boom Gaspar. Former band members include drummers Dave Krusen, Matt Chamberlain, Dave Abbruzzese, and Jack Irons.

Dubbed “the most popular American rock and roll band of the ’90s,” Pearl Jam outsold many of their early 1990s peers and is regarded as one of the most influential bands of the decade.
