From her upcoming album “Deeper Well,” Kacey Musgraves releases another captivating song. With “Too Good To Be True,” her most recent release, Musgraves combines contemplative lyricism with gentle acoustic melodies to create a winning combination that leaves listeners wanting more.
Musgraves effortlessly transports us into her world of foggy Monday mornings and hopeful hearts with her calming vocals and poetic storytelling, even as she navigates the uncertainties of a new relationship.
If that is not enough to have you excited, her star-studded North American tour promises a melodic journey unlike anything you have ever experienced, with openers like Lord Huron and Father John Misty adding their unique musical magic to the mix.
The acoustic song “Too Good To Be True” is just as peaceful, intimate, and remarkably serene as “Deeper Well.” Because Musgraves’ song was co-written and co-produced by Ian Fitchuk and Danny Tashian, anyone who has listened to the album for any amount of time should be quite familiar with its textures.
Since the song incorporates an excerpt from her 2005 VH1 hit song “Breathe (2 AM),” singer-songwriter Anna Nalick is also given credit for writing the song.

“Too Good To Be True” opens with Musgravest portraying a happy, intimate moment: “Made some breakfast, made some love/ This is what dreams are made of/ On a cloudy Monday morning.” It is an uncertain song, though.
The narrator of Musgraves’ novel is in a new relationship, and she is hoping it will be everything it seems.
At the 2024 Grammy Awards, Zach Bryan’s self-titled album, “I Remember Everything,” with Kacey Musgraves, won Best Country Duo/Group Performance.
Musgraves teased new music through a commercial that aired during the telecast later that night, following her presentation of Best Country Album to Lainey Wilson.
Musgraves has kept herself quite busy with musical pursuits despite not having put out an album in three years. She sang about her favorite colors on Sesame Street, did cover songs of Elvis Presley and Coldplay, and sang an in memoriam tribute at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
Recently, Musgraves was also enjoying a run of successful collaborations. She sang “Blue Dream Baby” with Fancy Hagood and “Do not Do Me Good” with Madi Diaz. Her most recent cover was of “Three Little Birds” for the upcoming film Bob Marley: One Love, which is a biopic.
