Jon Bon Jovi Dishes on Son Jake Bongiovi’s Engagement to Millie Bobby Brown: ‘Love is in the Air’

Jon Bon Jovi discussed his views on his son Jake Bongiovi and his fiancé Millie Bobby Brown’s relationship and engagement during the 2024 MusiCares Person of the Year event.

The love song of Jon Bon Jovi’s son’s fiancée Millie Bobby Brown and son Jake Bongiovi is being praised.

The veteran rocker shared his thoughts on the couple’s engagement, which they announced last year, on the red carpet where he was the guest of honor. When asked if he intended to perform at the wedding, the 61-year-old laughed.

The rock star did not provide specifics about how many weddings he intends to finance.

After sparking romance rumors in mid-2021, Millie, who turns 20 later this month, and Jake, who is 21 years old, announced their engagement on Instagram last April.

The Stranger Things actress shared a picture of the couple in which she was seen wearing an engagement ring made of diamonds. “Forever,” Jake penned. The couple celebrated at an engagement party a few months later.

On Instagram, the two had initially become friends. Due to the young ages of the couple, Jon had previously publicly endorsed Jake and Millie’s relationship, which had drawn criticism.

Millie Bobby Brown spoke at the NYC premiere of her film “Damsel,” accompanied by her fiancé Jake Bongiovi, and his parents Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Bongiovi.

She gushed about having Jake’s and her family’s support, as well as Jon and Dorothea, present at the function. Millie laughed when asked if they were on a date night.

From Stranger Things to Happily Ever After

Jimmy Fallon recently heard Millie tell the tale of how she and Jake got engaged underwater. There is a video but she is not sure if it will be made public.

When asked about her future father-in-law who is musical, and will assist with the wedding playlist, Millie gushed. Living on a farm in Georgia is how Brown stays grounded, she also disclosed.

Returning to Netflix, Millie Bobby Brown is not facing Demogorgons in Stranger Things. In the film Damsel, an original take on the traditional fairytale, the actress takes on a new challenge.

In the movie, Brown plays a character who must battle a fantastical beast to survive, which gives the conventional plot a thrilling twist. The performances in the movie also include Robin Wright and Angela Bassett.

Prior to the movie’s March 8 Netflix release, the star-studded cast partied on March 1 at its New York City premiere. Along with his parents, Dorothea Hurley and Jon Bon Jovi, Brown’s fiancé, Jake Bongiovi, attended the premiere.

Dan Mazeau wrote the screenplay. Additionally, Millie Bobby Brown is an executive producer on the project. The movie was supposed to cost between $60 and $70 million.
