Dakota Johnson, the most mysterious person in Hollywood, pours tea and throws shade!

Dakota Johnson’s career in the spotlight has been anything but ordinary; from navigating the murky waters of Tinseltown’s controversies to sidestepping controversy like a seasoned pro, she has experienced it all.

Her ability to generate conversation with her candid remarks and her deadpan delivery style keep us on the edge of our seats.

It can be hard to tell whether Johnson is being serious or humorous when she responds to questions from interviewers with such a deadpan demeanor, which has perhaps contributed to her reputation as a shade thrower comparable to Spider-Man slinging a web.

When she informed MTV News correspondent Josh Horowitz that their interview was not going well, at least she was laughing. She joked, “One of our careers is over, and it is not mine.”

Controversial Co-Stars and Candid Remarks

Johnson has voiced her displeasure with admirers requesting pictures. “It is essentially like someone asking to lick your face,” the woman stated on “Jakes Takes.”

She also detests it when people try to take secret pictures of her, but she admitted to doing the same thing to the cast of “Stranger Things” on “The Tonight Show.” She has also committed far more illegal acts.

Dakota Johnson has collaborated with many actors who have faced abuse allegations. She collaborated with Johnny Depp on a few movies, including “Black Mass” and “21 Jump Street,” and she starred with Shia LaBeouf in “The Peanut Butter Falcon.”

She also co-starred with Armie Hammer in “The Social Network.” “I do believe that people can change,” Johnson said in a 2021 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, providing a broad defense for these actors and others charged with similar behavior. She added, “Cancel culture is such a f***ing downer.”

Following multiple women’s accusations of sexual abuse, Hammer vanished from the Hollywood scene.

Additionally, a few women came forward with texts they claimed the actor from “Call Me by Your Name” sent them, the most notorious of which referred to cannibalism. “He said to me he wants to break my rib and barbecue and eat it,” Courtney Vucekovich, one of Hammer’s ex-partners, revealed to Page Six.

The LAPD looked into the claims made by a different woman, who accused Hammer of sexual assault. However, according to Business Insider, “insufficient evidence” prevented any charges from being brought.

This was no laughing matter for the majority of people. Johnson did, however, make a tone-deaf joke about her former Sundance co-star. Laughing, she said, “I would have been another woman that Armie Hammer would have tried to eat,” so it was a good thing she had to decline an offer to play the peach in “Call Me by Your Name.”

More memes were made during Dakota Johnson’s “Madame Web” press tour than there are radioactive spider bites in the Spider-verse. She expressed her indecision about whether or not she wanted to see the movie herself in an interview with Magic FM, saying, “I have not seen the movie… probably not. I have no idea when I will see it. Someday.”

In the past, she had reassured potential moviegoers that she was interested in the possible new comic book franchise she was working on. “Marvel movies have always been my favorites,” she declared in a promotional video.

However, some fans doubted her sincerity because of her sly gaze and her interjecting pauses. Regarding Johnson’s citrus scandal, a TikToker questioned, “Is she lying about loving Marvel the same way she lied about loving limes?” Indeed, even though Johnson had only seen 15 minutes of one Marvel movie, as he later admitted to MTV News.

During her “Saturday Night Live” monologue, Johnson made some derogatory comments about her movie. Sydney Sweeney is also in it, she pointed out, and she said, “It is kind of like if A.I. generated your boyfriend’s perfect movie.”

Regarding Sweeney, Johnson told E! News that she was upset that Sweeney, Isabela Merced, and Celeste O’Connor had not invited her to the “Madame Web” group chat. The three younger actors told MTV News that Johnson never texted them back, so perhaps she should take the blame for being left out.

Dakota Johnson never does anything less than take parties very seriously. Johnson made Ellen DeGeneres learn this lesson the hard way when she confronted her on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” for declining her birthday party invitation and making up a lie about not receiving it.

On “The Drew Barrymore Show,” Johnson revisited the topic of parties in 2021, pointing out that she and Jimmy Kimmel and his spouse live next door. “They are great neighbors except that they throw a lot of parties and they do not invite me,” Johnson said. That is why Drew Barrymore felt compelled to remind everyone about the DeGeneres situation.

Although it is possible that Kimmel saw some of the “Fifty Shades of Grey” actress’s wild partying in the past, the host appeared surprised that the Kimmels were inviting Johnson to their party without asking her.
