The only actor to learn about Harry Potter spoilers before the first of the eight-film series’ release was Alan Rickman.
In Harry Potter’s 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint joined other celebrities to share their recollections of the franchise.
This was one of the topics discussed. Occasionally, during the filming of the films, they would surprise one another with intimate anecdotes and shocking revelations.
Sadly, Alan Rickman had passed away since the series’ conclusion, so there was never a chance to speak with him.
Return to Hogwarts lacked several notable Harry Potter actors, such as Julie Walters (Molly Weasley), David Thewlis (Remus Lupin), Maggie Smith (Minerva McGonagall), and Michael Gambon (Albus Dumbledore).
However, the Harry Potter reunion brought to light the unfortunate absence of some people, Alan Rickman being the most notable example. But there was also a heartfelt homage to the actor, and Daniel Radcliffe and Gary Oldman both verified the Harry Potter spoilers about Alan Rickman that none of the other cast members had access to.
The first and only actor on the set to be aware of the Harry Potter spoilers regarding the conclusion of the story was Alan Rickman. To accurately portray Snape, he was interested in learning about his many facets.
Revealed in Return to Hogwarts, Daniel Radcliffe said: Rickman knew Snape’s whole backstory as early as The Sorcerer’s Stone.
This included his seemingly erratic allegiance, his unwavering love for Lily Potter, which inspired him to support and shield Harry in his fight against Voldemort, and his ultimate loyalty to Dumbledore.
He was aware of future timeline spoilers for Harry Potter before the film’s directors. Radcliffe said, “He never told anyone; he never told Chris [Columbus].” Chris genuinely asked him, “Why are you acting that way?” “I will tell you later,” he said.
Severus Snape was a very complicated person, and his relationship with Harry was a reflection of his mixed emotions. Snape hated James Potter, his Hogwarts bully, but he loved Lily Potter dearly.
According to producer David Heyman, Rickman was able to play Snape’s secrets to the best of his abilities.
Following the release of The Deathly Hallows in 2011, Rickman admitted to the media that he was a double agent.
Additionally, a Twitter user questioned J.K. Rowling in 2016 regarding the spoilers she had disclosed at the start of the novel regarding Alan Rickman following his untimely death. “I always told Alan what lies behind the word,'” Rowling retorted.
Daniel Radcliffe revealed in Return to Hogwarts that Rickman was the only person who knew all of the Harry Potter spoilers, and he held them a secret until the very end of the series.
The actor Ralph Fiennes, who plays Lord Voldemort in Return to Hogwarts, admits that Alan Rickman’s flawless delivery of his lines is what made him afraid. This demonstrates how flawless Alan Rickman was as Severus Snape.
One of the most beloved Harry Potter characters of all time is still Snape, and Rickman does a fantastic job portraying the actor that the entire cast adored—the always-prepared, yet ever-playful, and supportive Rickman in Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts.
Following the actor’s passing, Daniel Radcliffe wrote an homage to Rickman on his former Google+ account.
A new ten-season HBO TV adaptation of the Harry Potter books is on the way to Max. It will tell the stories of all the books from beginning to end. As this is a fresh telling of the tale, none of the cherished cast members will probably return.
Many fans will find it difficult to accept someone else in the roles of Ron, Hermoine, and Harry, but Snape might be the most difficult to replace.
Alan Rickman put a lot of effort into making Snape more complex and one of the best characters. That being said, it will be hard to match the amazing acting that Rickman gave in the films.
