We saw many child actors over the years and many of them became popular with their innocent roles. But there’s always been doubt about what would happen if these child actors became unknown when they grew up. Getting fame and becoming a big name during childhood is comparatively easier than having it all in adulthood. However, we have seen a lot of kids who grew up into the most amazing and well-known icons of Hollywood.
Haley Joel Osment
We have to agree that Haley Joel Osment was the cutest child actor we saw on screen. You must have seen him on The Sixth Sense and as a kid, he did so well; his innocence won our hearts but we were left wondering if he would continue acting as a grown-up. Well, no worries, as Haley Joel Osment made a good name for himself in Hollywood after he made his way to Broadway and we have seen him doing great in our shows like The Boys and Silicon Valley.
Ryan Gosling
Ryan Gosling is definitely an icon in Hollywood. This guy won our hearts with his amazing and heart-touching performances in movies like La La Land and The Notebook and we just cannot get over him. Ryan Gosling started as a child actor and the kid got quite famous for his role in The Mickey Mouse Club but when he grew up, he made everyone his fan with his fantastic performance.
Mayim Bialik
Okay, we know Mayim Bialik so well from The Big Bang Theory. But do you know that she was in the Blossom? Yes, you guessed it right. The sweet little girl Blossom from Blossom is Mayim Bialik. We loved watching her then and of course, when she grew up and played Amy in The Big Bang Theory, we could not take our eyes off her.

Natalie Portman was famous enough as a kid and then when she grew up, she became one of the icons of Hollywood. Will you deny that you were mesmerized by her acting in Léon and in the Star Wars Saga? No, right? We remember her as one of the best child actors of that time. However, when she took a break from acting for her studies, we for once thought she might not return but she left us surprised and happy when she returned to the world with a bang. We saw her in Black Swan and Jackie, where she left us in awe of her acting and beauty.
Dakota and Elle Fanning
The Fanning sisters were definitely our favorite child actors and we cannot stop admiring them, as they have been great at acting since they were kids. We clearly remember seeing these adorable babies on shows like Freinds and I Am Sam as kids and, not to lie, we completely fell in love with them. Now that both the sisters are grown up, they have established a huge name in the industry and once again have made their way to people’s hearts by doing individual series like The Great or movies like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Kristen Stewart
Kristen Stewart started acting very young but we remember her remarkable performance in Panic Room. She was the brightest kid in Hollywood and won the Young Artist Award and a lot of appreciation from her audiences. Just when we thought we saw Kristen Stewart’s best act, we were stunned by her absolutely amazing performance in The Twilight Saga as Bella after she grew up and now she is a big icon in Hollywood.
Cole and Dylan Sprouse
Play, so the Sprouse brothers always put their best into anything they do and we can never forget their iconic roles in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and how much we loved watching these little munchkins. However, now they are handsome men who continue to win our hearts with their stellar performances. Both of them have gained huge success after their world-famous acts in Riverdale and Banana Split.
Christian Bale
Our favorite and handsome hunk Batman was a cute little boy who made it into Hollywood with Empire of the Sun. We saw him in many other movies as a child and it all went well. But when he played the role of Batman, we couldn’t take our eyes off him. The adorable baby was now a charming, gorgeous man, how could you expect that we could take our eyes off of him?
Daniel Radcliffe
We cannot forget Daniel Radcliffe. He was a legendary child actor who was famous all across the world. Daniel Radcliffe surely made our childhood so special with Harry Potter. His acting debut was with David Copperfield but what made him famous was Harry Potter. We cannot imagine anyone else playing Harry Potter other than Daniel Radcliffe and now that he is all grown up, he has done many movies that gave him fame, like Imperium.
Christina Ricci
Christina Ricci was popular for her dark roles. She was one of the finest child actors who did a great job with her dark role of Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family. That little kiddo got recognition and appreciation and now she has become a woman with grace and even better acting skills.
