But let’s face it, a lot of her songs sound the same and are highly monotonous, with the same old lilting tune. She’s considered average by many people and for good reasons.

This R&B singer courted a lot of controversy for her acts that included disrespectful acts towards religions, being racist to her ex Chris Brown’s half-Vietnamese girlfriend, and making casual xenophobic and homophobic remarks. Her songs are also below average, having the same refrain that goes’ ra ra ra ra’.
Britney Spears
While she will always be a pop culture icon, she is quite subpar when it comes to her singing talents. Her voice doesn’t have a lot of range, and she pales when compared to icons like Madonna or Mariah.
Miley Cyrus
This singer-actress garnered a lot of fans when she did the Disney show ‘Hanna Montanna’. She is a good artist, guaranteed. But judging her solely as a singer, her vocals are less than impressive for many of the people who have listened to her.

Like Britney, she is definitely a pop culture icon and gave us memorable hits such as Ain’t Your Mama and Love Don’t Cost A Thing. But when you cut out the glitz and glam, her voice and music aren’t as diverse and strong as some of her other contemporaries.

He has a massive fan following all over the world. Remember the early 2010s when everyone wanted to be his baby? Well, those days are long over, and Bieber has been in the news for singing a concert at a billionaire’s son’s wedding. His last few stage performances have been disappointing, and some of his off-stage behavior has turned fans against him. His singing, as well, isn’t what it used to be.

We all love ‘Girls Like You’, and ‘This Love’. But his voice can sound incredibly annoying because it’s so nasal and whiny. His voice also has no variations and remains pretty much on the same pitch in almost all his songs. This is another reason to think that he’s overrated.

I know many of you would be shell-shocked seeing his name on the list, but hear me out. He’s a great songwriter and has written award-winning lyrics (Nobel prize-winning, if you will). But is he the best singer that the world has ever seen? The answer would be, if you’re honest, no. He is a far better lyricist than he is as a singer, period. The truth hurts, but it’s the truth.

She’s very overrated as a RnB singer in general, although she does have a dedicated fanbase. She has a lot of songs that are fun to shake your hips to in the club, but is she a really talented artist? The answer would be no. Her USP is just some catchy beats with overtly sexual lyrics. Now, nothing wrong with it, but that’s not what real quality is about.
