We all know that we have tons of TV shows but are they all worth watching? Well, probably not. You know not everything can be perfect and best and that counts for TV shows too. Not every show can be a hit; sometimes they are a miss and we cannot deny that we have some of the most disliked TV shows that got canceled or ended pretty soon. There are so many TV shows that critics have called a total waste of time and we cannot deny them.
Cavemen
ABC Network has given us many hit shows but unfortunately, it has also given us shows like Cavemen. Basically, Cavemen was originally a popular GEICO commercial, and they made it into a TV show where we get to use cavemen living in the contemporary world of Atlanta. This show was canceled pretty soon because critics said that it was an unnecessary show because there was no need to stretch a commercial into a TV show that lacked story and humor.
The Chevy Chase Show
You must be thinking about what this show is doing on the list because it’s Chevy Chase’s show and how it could get wrong. Well, the truth is, Chevy Chase didn’t meet our expectations at all. The show was filled with old and forced jokes and we can see a very awkward and weird performance by Chevy Chase. Well, as critics said, the show was dull and bland without any proper jokes or inspiration.
Work It
Work It was one of the most offensive TV shows, which made sarcasm about women, and people, along with critics, didn’t like the show. They said the show was tone-deaf and unfunny and they hated it so much that it ended just after two episodes. Well, in Work It, we see two men dressed as women securing jobs in a pharmaceutical company but they are no less than chauvinists.
Dads
Dads had a really nice and different concept where we see two childhood friends and game developers living together, but their lives get into trouble when their dads move in with them. Well, the show was really insensitive, and we could see clear racism, which wasn’t acceptable at all so the show got canceled after only one season.
The Secret Diary of Desmond Pfeiffer
The Secret Diary of Desmond Pfeiffer wasn’t well received among the audiences and the critics because when we saw a black English nobleman as the valet to President Abraham Lincoln, we couldn’t understand the concept behind it. The show was also set in the American Civil War era so the humor and the show’s execution were nothing better than trash.
Insatiable
Insatiable became a piece of one of the most hated TV shows because of its insensitivity. Well, the show is about a girl who was once bullied in high school for being overweight but now she has undergone a drastic transformation that leaves people in awe. However, the show seems rude and very insensitive about body image, the LGBTQ+ community, and many other things.
My Mother the Car
You must have heard about this one. My Mother the Car is the most annoying and stupid show where we see a man buy a car and that car is her reincarnated mother. The show was a sitcom but wasn’t funny at all and was, in fact, quite bland. We must say this show was absurd and critics have stated it out loud. However, even after the disappointment, the show ran for one entire season.
I Wanna Marry ‘Harry’
Well, in one simple word, the reality show I Wanna Marry ‘Harry’ was stupid. It was a reality dating show where women tried to win the affection of a man they thought to be Prince Harry. Critics have criticized it for being weird, deceptive, and mean-spirited. There was nothing that could be enjoyed in the show and it got pulled off before its final episode.
Emily’s Reasons Why Not
This is one of the most bizarre and unoriginal concepts on TV. In Emily’s Reasons Why Not, we see a self-help book author trying to find love and following a set of rules so that she can find a perfect date. The show was just bland and the weak writing made it so bad that it didn’t run for more than an episode.
The Cool Kids
Well, in the first place, there were no kids and the show was about three grown-up and retired friends living in a retirement community. The Cool Kids had jokes as old as the men in the show and it did a lot of stereotyping, which was quite annoying and not convincing to watch.
Animal Practice
To our surprise, Animal Practice ran for only nine episodes and then got canceled. Well, critics found it boring, unfunny, and formulaic. The show was about a vet and his unthinkable way to treat animals but it couldn’t attract audiences. However, the only good part about the show was the cute monkey it had as a sidekick.
Manimal
Manimal was a show where we saw a man who fought against wrongs and crimes and had the ability to turn into an animal. Well, even though it sounds a little interesting, it wasn’t, and it had some cheesy special effects and a ridiculous premise. Let’s not get into the lousy writing of the show.
